Allergen, Fungi and Molds, Cladosporium IgG
Also known as: CLADO IGG
Use
The Cladosporium IgG test measures the levels of IgG antibodies specific to Cladosporium molds. IgG measurements are useful in diagnosing allergic reactions and monitoring allergen exposure. High IgG levels can indicate sensitization to Cladosporium, which may be implicated in respiratory and allergic symptoms. This test is used primarily for allergic disease management.
Special Instructions
Please ensure proper specimen handling by separating serum from cells ASAP or within two hours of collection. Avoid hemolyzed, icteric, or lipemic specimens, as they can lead to inaccurate results. Use the recommended serum separator tube and follow the detailed collection and handling instructions.
Limitations
The test will not detect allergens outside the Cladosporium group. The presence of IgG does not necessarily mean clinical allergy, as IgG antibodies can persist without causing symptoms. Hemolyzed, icteric, or lipemic specimens can interfere with test results. The results are most useful in context with clinical symptoms and history.
