CD2 by Immunohistochemistry
Also known as: CD2 IHC
Use
Immunohistochemical staining for CD2 is performed as a technical stain-and-return service only, providing pathologists with tissue-based detection of CD2 expression. This test is used in the diagnostic evaluation of tissue specimens and cell blocks where detection of CD2 may aid in immunophenotyping or disease characterization.
Special Instructions
Submit electronic request or, if electronic ordering is unavailable, use ARUP Immunohistochemistry Stain Form (#32978) with an ARUP client number. Transport specimens in an ARUP tissue transport kit #47808 via eSupply or contact ARUP Client Services. This is a stain‑and‑return technical service only.
Limitations
Specimens that are depleted or contain non‑representative tissue types are unacceptable. Frozen specimens are unacceptable. Slides should not be oven‑baked if precut. This test does not yield interpretive data; it is strictly a technical service.
