Use
This test detects Mycoplasma pneumoniae, a common cause of community-acquired pneumonia. It is a laboratory developed test performed in a CLIA certified laboratory for clinical purposes.

Limitations
A negative result does not rule out the presence of PCR inhibitors in the patient specimen or assay specific nucleic acid in concentrations below the detection level. The test has not been cleared or approved by the US Food and Drug Administration.
