Neurokinin A (Substance K), Plasma
Also known as: NEURO A
Use
The Neurokinin A (Substance K), Plasma test assists in the prognosis of patients with midgut neuroendocrine tumors. It is a quantitative assay that measures the level of Neurokinin A, a neuropeptide involved in various physiological processes, including the regulation of blood pressure and intestinal motility. Evaluating Neurokinin A levels can provide valuable information on the progression of neuroendocrine tumors and potentially inform treatment decisions.
