TCR DELTA by Immunohistochemistry
Also known as: TCR D IHC
Use
TCR DELTA by Immunohistochemistry is a laboratory-developed immunohistochemical stain performed by ARUP Laboratories, intended to detect T-cell receptor delta expression in tissue samples—useful in the evaluation of T-cell subsets such as γδ-T cells. It is performed in a CLIA-certified laboratory and intended for clinical purposes but has not been cleared or approved by FDA. The test is performed as a stain-and-return (technical) service only.
Special Instructions
Refer to ARUP Immunohistochemistry Stain Offerings brochure for ordering recommendation. This is performed as a stain-and-return (technical) service only. Requires tissue fixed in 10% neutral buffered formalin and paraffin embedded; slides must be unstained, positively charged, and at least 3–5 microns thick (min: 2 slides). ARUP supply #47808 tissue transport kit recommended. If sending precut slides, do not oven bake. Transport at room temperature or refrigerated; ship cooled during summer months. Ambient and refrigerated stability are indefinite; frozen specimens unacceptable.
Limitations
This test has not been cleared or approved by the US Food and Drug Administration. It was developed and its performance characteristics determined by ARUP Laboratories. Specimens with non‑representative tissue type or depleted specimens are unacceptable and may be rejected.
