Use
Transforming Growth Factor beta1, Serum is used to understand the pathophysiology of unusual immune or inflammatory disorders. It provides insights into cytokine levels that could be critical for research purposes and the management of these conditions.
Special Instructions
Ensure serum is separated from cells as soon as possible or within 2 hours of collection. Use an ARUP standard transport tube for serum transfer. Samples must be frozen immediately at temperatures below -20°C, and separate specimens are required when multiple tests are ordered.
Limitations
This test is intended for research purposes and not cleared or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Results are for understanding immune or inflammatory disorders, but are not diagnostic conclusions on their own.
