Vimentin by Immunohistochemistry

Use
This test serves as a technical immunohistochemistry stain for detecting vimentin protein in tissue or cell specimens, typically used in pathology to characterize mesenchymal differentiation or assist in diagnosing neoplasms of mesenchymal origin.
Special Instructions

Limitations
Specimens must be formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue blocks or cellblocks, with at least 5 unstained positively charged slides (3–5 microns), minimum 2 slides. Slides must not be oven baked. Frozen specimens are unacceptable. Non-representative or depleted tissue is unacceptable.
