Use
GenomeDx ultraRapid is designed to provide the fastest possible genomic diagnosis for critically ill patients (such as neonatal or pediatric intensive care populations) who require immediate clinical answers. It supports detection of sequence variants—including SNVs, indels, intronic and regulatory variants—repeat expansions, structural variants such as CNVs and large rearrangements, and mitochondrial genome variants. The test is intended to inform critical care decision-making when every hour counts.
Special Instructions
Ordering requires use of a pink GeneDx shipping bag with FedEx First Overnight shipping label to avoid delays. Preferred specimen is fresh blood, and parental samples must be sent with the proband when applicable. If required information or samples are unavailable at submission, contact [email protected].
Limitations
Turnaround times are estimates that begin once the sample begins processing and may be extended by billing or clinical review delays or other factors beyond GeneDx’s control. Parental samples must accompany proband where applicable or testing may be delayed. Use of expedited shipping is required; failure to use the prescribed shipping materials can cause delays.
