Aniseed
Use
The Aniseed test is used to measure the specific IgE antibody levels to aniseed in the patient's serum, aiding in the diagnosis of allergic reactions or sensitivities to aniseed. Specific IgE tests are commonly used to identify allergen-specific reactions in patients with suspected allergies, supporting clinical assessment and management of allergic disorders.
Special Instructions
This test requires serum collected in a red-top tube or gel-barrier tube. The sample should be stable at room temperature for 14 days, refrigerated for 14 days, and frozen for 3 months with stability across three freeze/thaw cycles.
Limitations
This test is not FDA cleared or approved, as FDA approval is not deemed necessary by LabCorp for the clinical purposes of this test. It is not intended for investigational or research uses. Results should be interpreted in context with clinical presentation and other diagnostic tests. Variability in sensitivity and specificity may occur based on individual patient conditions.
