CLL FISH Profile
Also known as: Vysis CLL FISH Probe Kit
Use
This test is a diagnostic test for chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). It has an improved detection rate compared to a chromosome study, increasing from 45% to 80% when using fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH). It also aids in differentiating CLL from mantle cell lymphoma (MCL).
Special Instructions
Indicate pertinent clinical diagnosis and previous cytogenetic studies on the request form.
Limitations
Molecular mutations or chromosomal alterations not targeted by the probes included in this profile will not be detected by the test. This limitation means that some disease-related changes may not be identified.
