Use
Cancer prognosis. In general, aneuploid tumors have an unfavorable prognosis compared to diploid tumors.

Limitations
Fixatives other than formalin may not yield equivalent or satisfactory results. No percentage of S phase is reported for tumors analyzed by image cytometry. Small biopsies require image analysis of a 6-μ tissue section. This test is not a diagnostic test for cancer.
