Use
VENTANA FOLR1 RxDx Assay is an immunohistochemical assay using mouse monoclonal anti-FOLR1-2.1, intended for use in the assessment of folate receptor alpha (FOLR1) protein in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded epithelial ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer tissue specimens by light microscopy.
Special Instructions
This test number is used for tracking oncology IHC specimens to the laboratory. Bill codes will be added when testing is complete, based on the processes performed in the laboratory.
Limitations
The test is sensitive to proper specimen handling; slides sectioned greater than 45 days prior to test request, or improperly processed specimens might lead to rejection. The assay is dependent on the staining process and microscopic interpretation, and there might be variability due to technical and biological factors influencing assay performance.
