Use
Test provides data for clients to use for matching transplant donors and recipients. Specific HLA C alleles may be correlated with certain disease states or other clinical conditions. This test may be used to identify specific alleles.

Limitations
This test was developed and its performance characteristics determined by Labcorp. It has not been cleared or approved by the Food and Drug Administration. The assay may not resolve rare or unusual allele combinations. Alleles encoding identical protein sequences in the antigen recognition site will not be further distinguished, even if they are common and well-documented.
