HLA DQB1 CWD Resolution
Also known as: CWD Resolution Typing
Use
DQB1 antigens may be correlated with certain disease states or other clinical conditions. Also used for screening of transplant candidates and potential donors, transfusion of specifically compatible blood products, among others. This test is for single locus typing at CWD or higher resolution.
Special Instructions
Indicate in the clinical information which antigen(s) is of interest. For assistance in selecting the proper HLA test for the patient, please call the HLA customer service at 800-533-1037.
Limitations
This test was developed and its performance characteristics determined by Labcorp. It has not been cleared or approved by the Food and Drug Administration. The typing may include multiple alternative genotypes provided one includes two CWD alleles and others do not include any CWD allele. Alleles coding identical protein sequences in the ARS will not be resolved even if they are CWD. Rare or unusual allele combinations might not be ruled out, though allele codes will be reported to include those not ruled out.
