Use
This profile is used to aid in monitoring treatment for Lupus patients.
Special Instructions
Ensure to state the patient's sex and age on the test request form. For Complement C3a [004220] and Complement C4a [004330], Futhan preservative must be added to samples immediately after collection. Collection kits containing this preservative are available as Labcorp Part No. 78946. Testing for Anti-C1q Ab, IgG is currently not available in New York state.
Limitations
For Complement C3a [004220] and Component C4a [004330], the results of this test are labeled for research purposes only by the assay's manufacturer. The performance characteristics of this assay have not been established by the manufacturer. The results should not be used for treatment or for diagnostic purposes without confirmation of the diagnosis by another medically established diagnostic product or procedure. Labcorp has determined the performance characteristics for their use in monitoring lupus treatment.
