Nickel, Plasma
Use
Monitor exposure to nickel
Special Instructions
Ensure the plasma is separated immediately after collection and transferred to a certified metal-free transport tube for shipment. Maintain specimen at room temperature and ensure it is shipped accordingly. Follow specific collection instructions to prevent contamination and rejection.
Limitations
This test has been developed and its performance characteristics have been determined by LabCorp. However, it has not been cleared or approved by the Food and Drug Administration. The interpretation of nickel levels should consider both environmental and occupational exposure contexts, as reference ranges and typical exposure levels may vary. Levels seen in refinery workers may differ substantially from those exposed to environmental sources.
