Parvovirus B19, Quantitative, PCR
Also known as: B19
Use
Detection and quantitation of parvovirus in plasma or serum specimens as an aid in the diagnosis and management of parvovirus infections
Special Instructions
This test was developed and has its performance characteristics determined by ViroMed. It has not been cleared or approved by the FDA, but such clearance is deemed unnecessary by the FDA. Ensure to freeze or refrigerate the specimen and submit separate frozen samples for each test requested to avoid delays.
Limitations
The quantitative range of the assay is 500 to 10,000,000 copies/mL. Results outside this range may not be accurately quantified. This test's performance characteristics have been determined by ViroMed independently of FDA clearance.
