Prostate Multisite Biopsy
Also known as: Histopathology, Prostate, Prostate Histology
Use
Histologic evaluation of prostate biopsy specimens
Special Instructions
Not provided.
Limitations
The accuracy of the Prostate Multisite Biopsy is dependent on the sample collection, preparation, and histological examination. External factors such as incorrect specimen labeling, improper fixation, or a lack of medical history provided can impact the test's validity. As it involves pathological evaluations, the test may not identify overly small lesions or atypical cells that do not represent the primary cancerous part of the tissue.
