Strongyloides, IgG Antibody, Qualitative, EIA
Use
Qualitative determination of IgG antibodies to Strongyloides ratti in human sera
Special Instructions
The sample should be collected in a gel-barrier tube and should follow the proper storage conditions as specified. Ensure the sample has not been subjected to more than four freeze/thaw cycles to maintain stability. Order this test through LabCorp's ordering system and handle with standard laboratory precautions.
Limitations
This test may not detect early stages of infection or low levels of antibodies, particularly in cases of immunocompromised individuals. Cross-reactivity with antibodies to other helminth infections can occur, potentially leading to false positive results. The test should be interpreted in conjunction with patient history and other diagnostic procedures.
