Wet Prep
Use
Presumptive diagnosis of Trichomonas vaginalis infection
Special Instructions
Store uninoculated InPouch™ TV test kits at room temperature. Avoid leakage by moving the medium at the top downward before inserting the swab. Follow detailed collection instructions for different specimen types to ensure proper handling and accuracy.
Limitations
The Wet Prep test may not detect low concentrations of Trichomonas organisms, yeast, or clue cells if not properly collected or if specimens are delayed beyond the recommended time frame. Moreover, improper specimen handling or storage, like refrigeration, can result in specimen rejection.
