Special Instructions
This test includes only the technical performance of the stain and does not provide a pathologist interpretation. Technical component only stains should not be ordered with PATHC / Pathology Consultation as they will be canceled. The immunohistochemistry (IHC)/in situ hybridization (ISH) staining may be performed at the reviewing pathologist's discretion if ordered with PATHC, potentially incurring additional charges. Limitations

Stability thresholds vary and best practices dictate paraffin sections be cut within 6 weeks, minimizing exposure to humidity and heat to maintain positive slide charge integrity.

Storage Instructions
Best to limit exposure to high humidity and heat, and minimize the time slides are stored after unpackaging. Preferably ambient temperature, but refrigerated is also acceptable.
