Use
Confirmation of benzodiazepine exposure via urine metabolites when a presumptive positive screen exists (only orderable as a reflex following initial screening). Useful in confirming exposure to various benzodiazepines metabolites such as diazepam, nordiazepam, oxazepam, temazepam, alprazolam, lorazepam, triazolam, clonazepam, and flunitrazepam.

Limitations
Not orderable directly; prior screening required. Analytical performance and valid interpretive ranges are limited to the specified benzodiazepine analytes in urine; parent compounds often not detected in urine, metabolites are the targets.
