Circulating Immune Complex, C1q Binding
Use
This test is useful for detecting circulating immune complexes. It assists in understanding clinical disorders where immune complexes may be contributing to disease processes, although a positive result doesn't necessarily implicate the immune complex in a specific disease process.
Special Instructions
Separate specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered. The specimen must be frozen immediately after processing.
Limitations
Circulating immune complexes may be found without any evident pathology. Positive results do not necessarily implicate the immune complex in a disease process.
