Mephedrone, MDPV and Methylone, Urine
Use
This urine test is used for the qualitative analysis of synthetic cathinones, specifically Mephedrone, MDPV, and Methylone, also known as 'bath salts'. These compounds are commonly used as recreational drugs and can have stimulant effects. The test helps in the detection of these substances to support clinical diagnosis of intoxication or drug abuse.
Special Instructions
The test includes a screening process, and if a positive result is obtained, additional confirmatory tests (Mephedrone and MDPV Confirm, and Methylone Confirm) will be performed at an additional charge. It is important to collect a random urine specimen without preservative in a preservative-free plastic urine container.
Limitations
The test is qualitative and not quantitative, measuring concentrations to above a screening threshold of 1.0 ng/mL to determine positivity. Due to the nature of the screening, variations in urine concentration may affect results. Not all potential synthetic cathinones ('bath salts') are covered by this test; it is limited to Mephedrone, MDPV, and Methylone.
