Renal Function Panel, Serum
Use
This test is useful for aiding in the diagnosis and management of conditions affecting kidney function. It is also valuable for general health screening, especially for screening patients at risk of developing kidney disease and managing patients with known kidney disease.
Special Instructions
Not provided.
Limitations
The panel results are not diagnostic on their own but indicate there may be a kidney problem that requires further testing to diagnose and determine the cause. Individual results can be abnormal for reasons other than kidney disease, but when considered with known risks and symptoms, they may help indicate the presence of kidney disease.
