BCR::ABL1; t(9;22)
Use
FISH test on hematologic specimens for detection of BCR::ABL1 gene fusion. This fusion, associated with t(9;22), occurs in chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML), adult acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), and acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
Special Instructions
All attempts will be made to process and report samples received > 72 hours post-collection. Bone marrow is the sample of choice in most heme malignancies.
Limitations
Expected turnaround times (TATs) are for clinical use only and subject to change based on biopharma protocol requirements. Specimen rejection criteria include clotted specimen, specimen exposed to extreme temperature, anticoagulant toxic to cells, and insufficient number of cells.
