Burkitt/'Double Hit' Large B-cell Lymphoma Panel, paraffin
Use
FISH Panel testing on paraffin-embedded cells for the most common abnormalities observed in Burkitt and high-grade B-cell lymphoma. The test identifies specific genomic rearrangements that can aid in the diagnosis and classification of these lymphomas.
Special Instructions
Tissues should be fixed in 10% neutral buffered formalin. Tissues preserved in B+ fixative or decalcified are usually not suitable for FISH. Assay requires a minimum of 5 unstained slides and one H&E stained slide.
Limitations
The test is specifically designed for detecting c-MYC, BCL6, IGH::MYC, and IGH::BCL2 rearrangements. Inadequate tissue fixation and improper tissue handling may affect results. Extreme temperatures during shipping can cause specimen rejection.
