CD43, technical only
Use
CD43 is a pan leukocyte marker for cells of myeloid lineage, including T-cells. It is important in T cell and neutrophil adhesion to endothelium. Expression has been observed in myeloid (granulocytic) sarcoma, subtypes of T-cell lymphomas, and low-grade B-cell lymphomas. This test is technical component only, meaning it does not include a pathologist read.
Special Instructions
Fresh Tissues should be fixed in formalin for 24-72 hours, then transferred to 70% ethanol for longer term storage if needed. Unstained slides require positively charged glass to prevent background staining and tissue loss. Slides should remain unbaked.
Limitations
This test is technical only and does not include a pathologist interpretation. Specimens must be fixed in 10% neutral buffered formalin or similar; otherwise, they will be rejected.
