Chromosome Analysis Bone Marrow
Use
Chromosome analysis is conducted on samples suspected of harboring a hematologic disorder. It is particularly effective in analyzing bone marrow samples as these better reflect the in vivo conditions occurring in many hematologic disorders.
Special Instructions
All attempts will be made to process and report samples received more than 72 hours post-collection. Bone marrow is the preferred sample type in most hematologic conditions.
Limitations
This test is designed for clinical use and turnaround times are subject to change based on biopharma protocol requirements. It is important to note that clotted specimens, those exposed to extreme temperatures, or specimens with anticoagulants toxic to cells may lead to specimen rejection.
