FISH AML Panel
Use
The FISH AML Panel is used to detect specific chromosomal abnormalities associated with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). This test aids in the diagnosis, prognosis, and monitoring of AML by identifying known fusion genes and chromosomal rearrangements typical for this type of leukemia.
Special Instructions
Ensure that all specimens are properly labeled and sent to the laboratory in a timely manner to maintain sample integrity. Contact the laboratory for any specific collection procedures if clarification is needed.
Limitations
This test is limited to detecting chromosomal abnormalities included in the panel and may not identify all genetic anomalies in AML. Results should be interpreted in conjunction with clinical and other laboratory findings. False positives and negatives may occur.
