Flow Cytometry, technical only
Use
This test is used for immunophenotyping via flow cytometry, which is crucial for identifying and characterizing various leukemias, lymphomas, and other hematologic disorders. It helps in diagnosing conditions such as Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL), and other related malignancies.
Special Instructions
This test includes the technical component only; no interpretation is included. Specimens must be refrigerated, not frozen, during shipment. Use a refrigerated gel pack to protect from extreme temperatures and separate the gel pack from the specimen.
Limitations
The test does not include interpretation, only technical components. Specimens not complying with the specified storage temperatures, or that are clotted or hemolysed, will be rejected. The stability of specimens is 48 hours at 4°C, beyond which degradation may affect results.
