Plasma Cell Neoplasms Panel
Use
This FISH panel test is performed on CD138+ cells in bone marrow specimens to detect common abnormalities observed in multiple myeloma. It is useful in identifying genetic alterations such as deletions, amplifications, gains, and fusions that are prevalent in this neoplasm.
Special Instructions
All attempts will be made to process and report samples received more than 72 hours post-collection. Bone marrow is the preferred sample for most hematological malignancies.
Limitations
Turnaround times are subject to change based on specific biopharma study protocol requirements. Finalized times will be aligned with the conditions specified in the study contract. The FISH methodology may not detect all abnormalities or reportable ranges outside established cutoffs.
