SOX10, technical only
Use
SOX10 is a transcription factor that plays a crucial role in the development of neural crest cells and is widely used in pathology to identify neural crest-derived tumors. It is particularly valuable in diagnosing melanoma, schwannomas, and peripheral nerve sheath tumors, where its expression helps distinguish these from other neoplasms.
