Precise Tumor® Molecular Profile Test
Use
Precise Tumor® Molecular Profile Test is a tumor molecular profiling assay for advanced solid tumors. It provides a comprehensive genomic profile by analyzing >500 cancer-related genes and key immuno-oncology biomarkers (including MSI and TMB) to identify clinically relevant DNA and RNA variants that may help guide personalized treatment planning, including associations with FDA-approved therapies and clinical trials, alongside other clinical and diagnostic information.
Special Instructions
Ordering is initiated by completing a test request form (via EMR/portal or paper). Myriad laboratory staff may coordinate directly with the submitting pathology partner to obtain the tumor specimen. Submit FFPE tumor tissue (block preferred; slides may be accepted per pathology guidance). Results are delivered via the provider portal when available.
Limitations
Successful testing depends on submitting an adequate FFPE tumor specimen. Pathology guidance specifies minimum tumor material expectations (e.g., selecting an FFPE tumor block with sufficient cross-sectional tumor area and tumor thickness), and provides alternate slide preparation instructions when blocks are not available. If specimen adequacy is not met, testing may not be possible. The test is designed for tumor profiling and should be interpreted in the context of the full clinical picture and other diagnostic information.
