Use
CD38 is a transmembrane protein highly expressed on thymocytes and present on activated T‑cells and terminally differentiated B‑cells (plasma cells). It is also seen on NK cells, monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells, and may be detected in multiple myeloma, acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B and T‑cell ALL), and some acute myeloid leukemia (AML).

Collection Instructions
A formalin‑fixed, paraffin‑embedded (FFPE) tissue block is preferred specimen type or one unbaked, unstained slide for H&E staining (required) and two to three (2‑3) positively charged unstained slides (all cut at 4‑5 microns) for each test/antibody ordered.
Storage Instructions
Use cold pack for transport, making sure cold pack is not in direct contact with specimen. NYS clients please provide date and time of Collection.
