CD5
Use
CD5 is a transmembrane protein expressed on most thymocytes and immature peripheral T‑cells. It also stains normal B‑cells in the mantle zones of spleen and lymph nodes, as well as B‑cells in peritoneal and pleural cavities, and in fetal spleen and cord blood. It is positive in B‑cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small lymphocytic leukemia (CLL/SLL), mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), hairy cell leukemia (HCL), most T‑cell malignancies, and most thymic carcinomas, while usually negative in spindle cell thymoma.
