EGFR Mutation Analysis by PCR
Also known as: EGFR, epidermal growth factor receptor
Use
This assay is designed to detect highly recurrent EGFR alterations in exons 18–21—specifically Exon 18 G719X; Exon 19 deletions; Exon 20 T790M, C797S, Exon 20 insertions and S768I; Exon 21 L858R, L861Q—enabling identification of key activating and resistance mutations in EGFR relevant for guiding targeted therapy decisions in oncology.
Special Instructions
In order to obtain the full list of detectable EGFR variants beyond the highly recurrent ones listed, the client should contact NeoGenomics client services.
Limitations
The assay does not detect some less common EGFR mutations beyond the recurrent alterations listed in exons 18–21; clients must contact NeoGenomics client services for a full list of detectable variants.
