FSH Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
Use
Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) is a pituitary hormone involved in the maturation of ovarian follicles and estrogen secretion in females. In males, FSH stimulates the secretion of testosterone. This antibody is used in the identification of FSH in pituitary adenomas.
Special Instructions
A formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue block is preferred specimen type or one unbaked, unstained slide for H&E staining and two to three positively charged unstained slides for each test/antibody ordered.
Limitations
Storage and transportation must ensure the cold pack is not in direct contact with the specimen. Block and slide identifiers should match exactly with the specimen ID and labeling.
