High-Grade/Large B-Cell Lymphoma Panel
Use
The High-Grade/Large B-Cell Lymphoma Panel is designed to detect genetic abnormalities in B-cell lymphomas, particularly in identifying double-hit and triple-hit lymphomas. The panel includes probes for genes such as BCL6, MYC, and BCL2, and optional reflexes. The test aids in the diagnosis, classification, and prognosis of these aggressive lymphomas.
Special Instructions
The test includes an optional reflex for additional probes if MYC (8q24) is positive and MYC/IgH/CEN8 t(8;14) is negative, enhancing its diagnostic capabilities. Appropriate for global and technical-only service levels.
Limitations
The test relies on FISH methodology, which detects specific genetic rearrangements and amplifications but may not effectively capture all genetic aberrations present. It is particularly focused on MYC FISH-positive cases and may require supplemental testing for comprehensive genomic profiling.
