This consult-based test is designed to differentiate between complete molar pregnancy, partial molar pregnancy, and hydropic abortus by integrating FISH analysis (centromeres 1 and 11) and IHC for p57, which is critical for accurate diagnosis and guiding clinical management.

Collection Instructions
FFPE tissue block preferred; FISH requires one unbaked, unstained H&E slide (required) plus four positively charged unstained slides (4β5 microns). IHC requires one unbaked, unstained H&E slide (required) plus two to three positively charged unstained slides (4β5 microns). Block and slide identifiers must match requisition.
