NeoTYPE® AITL/Peripheral T-Cell Lymphoma Profile
Also known as: Angioimmunoblastic/Peripheral T-Cell Lymphoma Profile
Use
Angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma (AITL) is a subtype of peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL) accounting for 20-25% of PTCLs. Peripheral T-cell lymphoma is an aggressive group of lymphoid malignancies, representing about 10-15% of non-Hodgkin lymphomas. Frequent mutations detected in the genes IDH1/2, DNMT3A, TET2, and RHOA may play a role in the pathogenesis of AITL/PTCLs.
Special Instructions
Use cold pack for transport, ensuring it is not in direct contact with specimen. Ship on the same day as drawn whenever possible. Extract & Hold - TNA option is available for specimen hold service.
Limitations
Highly acidic or prolonged decalcification processes will not yield sufficient nucleic acid for accurate molecular studies. Mercury fixatives (B5) and zinc fixatives should be avoided. Ensure block and slide identifiers are clear and match the specimen ID and labeling on requisition.
