Use
The NeoTYPE GIST/Soft Tissue Tumor Profile analyzes 43 biomarkers through a combination of next-generation sequencing (NGS), FISH, and IHC. It guides treatment decisions by including a summary interpretation of all results. A microsatellite instability (MSI) NGS result can trigger a reflex to MSI by PCR if the tumor percentage is ≥40% and paired normal tissue is available.
Special Instructions
Results include summary interpretation. Ensure a cold pack is used during transport without direct contact with the specimen. NYS clients must provide the date and time of collection.
Limitations
The MSI by PCR reflex is only performed if the initial MSI result is 'indeterminate' and other conditions are met. Technical-only services are available for certain methodologies (e.g., FISH, IHC).
