Ploidy FISH for Molar Pregnancy
Also known as: CEN1/CEN11
Use
Ploidy FISH analyzes centromeres 1 and 11 to assess triploidy (associated with partial mole) vs. diploidy (associated with complete mole). It is used to differentiate complete molar pregnancy, partial mole, and abortus with hydropic changes by analyzing chromosomal composition.
