Antibody Deficiency Panel
Use
This test is designed for individuals with relevant features who have a clinical or suspected diagnosis of predominantly antibody deficiency disorders. It is also applicable for individuals with decreased serum immunoglobulin isotypes and reduced/absent B cell counts, as well as those over 4 years of age with hypogammaglobulinemia of unknown cause.
Special Instructions
Consider ordering for patients meeting the criteria detailed in the clinical significance section. STAT testing options are available, and New York approval may influence the ordering process.
Limitations
The test will not detect mutations or alterations that are not within the coding regions or known pathogenic regions of the analyzed genes. Large structural variants such as inversions may not be reliably detected. The performance of the testing may be impacted by the quality and quantity of the DNA sample submitted.
