Adenovirus IHC without interpretation
Also known as: Immuno Histo Chemistry, IHC Technical Component Only
Use
Identifies adenovirus in formalin‑fixed, paraffin‑embedded tissue using immunohistochemistry; this version includes only the technical component, without pathologist interpretation. Intended to detect adenovirus infection in histologic specimens.
Special Instructions
Technical performance only; does not include pathologist interpretation. If interpretation is required, a separate Pathology Consultation (e.g., PATHC) must be ordered.
Limitations
The test does not include diagnostic interpretation. Interpretation must be performed by a qualified pathologist using clinical context and other diagnostic tests. Controls must be verified (positive/negative), and the assay is subject to the limitations of immunohistochemistry techniques.
