CCD and Profilin IgE Cross‑Reactivity Panel
Also known as: MUXF3, Carbohydrates, Glycans, Bet v 2, Bromelain
Clinical Use
Order TestUse
The CCD/Profilin IgE cross‑reactivity panel can be used by clinicians interested in understanding why a patient with IgE to whole peanut and/or tree nut is not allergic to these foods. CCD and Profilin‑specific IgE, while highly cross‑reactive with whole nuts, is not associated with a true allergy to them. The CCD/profilin IgE cross‑reactivity panel may also be ordered by clinicians for follow up testing if a patient’s peanut and/or tree nut IgE component panel results are completely negative.
