Special Instructions
Specimens must be aliquoted by labs performing cytology within 4 days of collection and prior to cytology testing. Transfer 1 mL of PreservCyt ThinPrep or 0.5 mL of SurePath preservative fluid into an Aptima transport tube (orange‑ or green‑label), such as Aptima Multitest Collection Tube, Unisex Swab Kit Tube, or Specimen Transfer Tube.
