Immunohistochemical evaluation of tissue for IgG4-positive plasma cells to support the diagnosis of IgG4-related disease.
Special Instructions
Requires formalin-fixed, paraffin‑embedded (FFPE) tissue block or unstained positively charged slides; include pathology report; send in IHC specimen kit box; requires TSO form.
Limitations
Specimens must be formalin‑fixed; frozen specimens are unacceptable. Slides or blocks fixed in other fixatives or that are overheated or frozen may yield unsatisfactory results.
