Use
This test provides species-level identification (when possible) of ticks and other arthropods submitted for examination to support accurate diagnosis and patient counseling regarding exposure or vector-borne disease risk.
Special Instructions
Submit one individual arthropod specimen per sterile container with 70% alcohol. Place the specimen in alcohol as soon as possible.
Limitations
Identification is morphological and does not include analysis for pathogens such as Borrelia burgdorferi (Lyme disease). The test relies on observable features and does not assess infectivity.
