Use
Quantitative measurement of warfarin in serum or plasma, used for therapeutic drug monitoring to assess anticoagulant levels and guide dosing adjustments in patients receiving warfarin.
Special Instructions
Specimen must be 1 mL (minimum 0.2 mL) of serum collected in a plain red‑top (no gel) tube, or plasma in an EDTA (lavender‑top) or pink‑top tube. Separator tubes (polymer gel or serum separator) are unacceptable. Prompt centrifugation and transfer to plastic screw‑cap vial is required. Transport at room temperature. Separate for serum or plasma.
